Jiande(118°54’-119°45’E and 29°13’-29°46’N)is located in the western Zhejiang province, with Hangzhou to its East, Mount Huang to its west and the Xin’an River, the Fuchun Riverand the Qiandao Lake passing through the city. It has a total administrative area of 2321 km and a population of about 510 thousand people. The Jiande City does not only have a beautiful scenery and perfect service systems and facilities (thus named the National Excellent City for Traveling by the National travel Bureau) but also has a preferential privilege to develop industry as a result of the plentiful resource of the mineral and water supply.

Jiande Economic Development Zone(JEDZ)was ratified by Zhejiang Provincial Government in May,2002.It is the window that Jiande opens to the outside world, the carrier that introduces the investment, the cradle that high technologies comes out, the spotlight that reflects the new town’s construction. And it develop the new service system (all-might system) on introduction of projects, all-round services system on development of projects, regular service system on operation of projects.

Jiande Economic Development Zone is composed of Shouchang development Office and the Chengdong Development Office. Our Chengdong Development Office is mainly in charge of the development of Yangxi District and Anren District whose planned area is 10km2. With the preference of the policy, the highly effect of the service, the gradual perfect of the basic facilities, we warmly welcome entrepreneurs at home and abroad to come to invest and get co- operating with each other.

Yangxi District, which locates 6 km east of the site of the Jiande Government, takes a planned area of 8 km2.According to the plan of the whole city, the Jiande City will explore gradually eastward and the future district will mainly develop the tertiary industry and the technology-intensive industries.

The Yangxi District sits on the north bank of Xin’an River. With mountains and rivers around,it not only has a good landscape, but also has a convenient transportation network. What worth to mention is that the water supply comes directly from the source of the Qiandao Lake. As a result of the average water temperature at 14oC to 17oC all-year-round, the district enjoys a cool climate. The district includes functional zones like commercial zone, tourist zone, villa zone and technical zone. At present, technical zone, which mainly develops industries like electronic, information, new materials and machining, is under construction. Up till now, there are more than 10 companies enrolled in our industrial park. Therefore, it is expected to be a brand new city with perfect infrastructures and beautiful regional environment and a industrial park with relatively-high technology and strong competitiveness.

Anren District
Anren District, which is situated at the Qiantan Town of Jiande city, has a planned area of 2km. It mainly introduces foreign capital, by which develops industries whose products export and make profits.

Anren District is located at the northeast entrance of the Jiande City,which only 92km away from Hangzhou City, less than 100km from the Xiaoshan International Airport and port of Hangzhou and less than 10km away from Tonglu County. It is the place that nearest to Hangzhou in our city. The land, water and train transportation is very convenient and the infrastructures for electric power supply, water supply and communication is relatively complete. The state-level highway 320 crosses Jiande and it is only less than 50km away from Xin’anjiang station and the Genglou station and 8km away from Fuchunjiang Port. Ships of 500t level can reach the cities on the banks of canals such as Ningbo, shanghai through Fuchun River and Qiantang River. Within the district, the transformer with 35kv and Jinjiang thermal station with120,000kw have been completed, which will supply you with enough electricity and 20t/h thermal energy. And the waterworks with 150,000t/d can guarantee the need of water. Now, the first stage of development has been under construction.
