Brief introduction of HETD

HETD is the English abbreviation of Huzhou Economic & Technological Development Zone. Huzhou Economic & Technological Development Zone was established upon the approval of the municipal government of Zhejiang province in 1992, while 1995 the Huzhou Taiwanese Investment Zone was established in the Huzhou Development Zone under approval of municipal government of zhejiang province. Since 1997 the Huzhou Development Zone has became one of the nine key provincial development zones of state listed by the special zone office of the state council of China. On Oct. Of 1999, in order to further to refine management system, and build up a ideal environment for investment, the Party Committee and the Municipal Government of Huzhou decided to merge the Huzhou Economic & Technological Development Zone and Around Lake Taihu Comprehensive Foreign Agricultural Development Zone (Lake Taihu Tourist Vacation Zone), and renamed as Huzhou Economic & Technological Development Zone in unison to public. After merged, it covers total area of 93 square km, programmed area of 29 square km.

The Party Committee and the Municipal Government of Huzhou allowed more management authority to the new development zone, and approved a group of management organization, and carry out a lots of supporting policy, it makes kinds of rights of the development zone to be unison basically. It must be benefit for further to strengthens foreign capital introduction, speech up development of high-tech industry and tourism, growth industrial advantages of the development zone, improve level of program, development and management.
