JXEPZ is located in the southern wing of Yangtze River Delta,northern bank of Hangzhou Bay,back to richly endowed Hang zhou-Jiaxing-Huzhou Plain and near Shanghai Pudong Area. It is 90kms away from Shanghai to the east,95kms away from Hangzhou to the west,89kms away from Suzhou to the north and 74 nautical miles away from Ningbo to the south.The total planned area is 2.98 square kilometers. 

In Zhejiang Jiaxing EPZ.Administrative Committee and Custom Supervision organization are established with strict isolate facilities,supervision system and management mode of ”Outside Customs within Border".The Customs offers round-the-clock service with a new mode of "single declaration,single examination of documents and single inspection of cargoes". The enterprises in the zone enjoy not only the convenience of customs declaration,but aslo the special preferential policies for export processing zones.  Infrastructure facilities including roads,water supple, power supply,telecommunication,waste dischanrge,flood drainage and cable TV,and service organizations such as the customs,cargo inspection&quarantine,banks, transportation and warehousing are available in the zone.Formalities for import and export can be completed within the Zone.

Water Way: Zhapu Port,a perfect pivot of sea and river transportation,is connected to Huangpu River,Great Beijing-Hangzhou Cannel and national water transportation net.  
   
Motor Way: Roads are connected to the national motor way net.It is only 24kms away from the exit of Shanghai-Hangzhou Express Way.The EPZ is linked with Shanghai-Hangzhou Provincial Way and Zhapu-Jiaxing-Su-zhou Motor Way. Zhapu- Jiaxing-Suzhou Express Way,lying west of the EPZ, has gone into operation in 2002.
     
Rail Way: Jiaxing railway Station ,with a railway-waterway transfer station, is 40kms away from EPZ.Zhapu-Jiaxing-Hu zhou Railway will join Pudong-Jinshan Railway at zhapu,which are under planning at present and will form a Big passway in East China.
