A brief introduction to Linan Economic Development
Zone Linen Economic Development
Zone was set up at the approval of the Government of Zhejiang Province with a
controlled area of 22.4 km2 and planned area of 11.3 km2, including industrial
block of 7.8 km2 and commercial and residential quarter of 3.5 km2 in September
2001. The zone lies in the East Gate of Linan and neighbors to the proper
of Hangzhou city, up to the Tianmushan Mountain and down to the Qingshan Lake,
with Hang-Yu expressway passing through. There is only 40 minutes drive from
Xiaoshan international Airport. Meanwhile, the zone is in a strategic position
of "Three-Hour Transportation, Economy & Life of Circle of Zhejiang
Province". Within the district, Qingshan channel connects with the Jing-Hang
(Beijing-Hangzhou) Grand Canal and Qiantang River. The developing zone can
utilize two international sea harbors of Shanghai and Ningbo equidistantly. In
the future, Hangzhou-Huangshan Expressway passing along its border and the main
entrance of the zone linked with it by cloverleaf intersection. Especially, with
the expanding of Hangzhou district and proceeding west of transportation. Light
railway, subway of Hangzhou that are planned and the Hu-Hang (Shanghai-Hangzhou)
magnetic suspension train will link with the developing zone. According to
the requirement of Government of Linan and realities of the developing zone. The
developing zone insists on "three focuses and one main work direction" and
establishes the target of "during three years, getting remarkable achievement;
during five years, forming structure; during ten years, building new city".
During three years, the developing zone will build completely the
infrastructure: ten open one smooth. During five years, the entering enterprises
will cover the scope of the developing zone. During ten years, with high

Transportation Lin'an Economic and
Development Zone is located in the west suburban area of Hangzhou city with the
Hangzhou-Huangshan Expressway passing along its border and the main entrance of
the zone linked with it by cloverleaf intersection. Within the district,
Qingshan water-route connects with the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal and Qiantang
River. Light railroad and the magnetic suspension train line Hangzhou-Shanghai
are planned for the area, which will be linked with the future subway of
Hangzhou. Thus, we can provide convenient transportation service. The
development zone is in a very strategic position of 'Two hour transportation,
economic and living circle' of Zhejiang Province which has China's fastest
economic growth and largest market holding capacity. It is only a 20-minute
drive from the zone to Hangzhou city proper. Ningbo and Shanghai harbor are in
the same reach to the zone. And there is only 40-minute drive from Xiaoshan
International Airport.
Infrastructure
With a planned area of 22.4 square kilometers, the Lin'an Economic
Development Zone is located to the west of Lin'an city, on the bank of Qingshan
Lake and it is a provincial economic development area which was approved by the
provincial government in September, 2002. After development, the zone currently
can provide sound investment environment with'9 open and 1 smooth' in the aspect
of power supplying, water supplying, heating system, road, communication, defile
and rain drainage system. There is a defile water-disposing factory with daily
processing capacity of 40,000 tons. The widest part of the constructed road in
the zone is 80 meters. In a few years to come, there will be 3 functional areas
inside the zone, namely, production area, living and service area and
entertainment area which showing an excellent environmental friendly investment
environment with sound residence, manufacture and cargo transmission services.
