Tonglu County is situated in the northwest part of Zhejiang Province, middle reaches of Qiantang

River, about 80km away from Hangzhou City proper. It is situated at latitude 29¡ã35 ' -30¡ã05 ' N and longitude

119¡ã10 ' -119¡ã58 ' E, adjacent to the Yellow Mountain and Thousand-Ishe Lake in its west and to the Qiantang River and West Lake at its east. Which is listed as the travel development zone and open-to-outside county by the State Council.

Tonglu boasts a 1,780-year histoy of civilization, original from the fourth year of Huangwu in the Wu Dynasty (225A.D). Covering a land area of 1,825km 2 showing a landscape of "eight mountain-one river-one

land".It includes 7 towns, 4 villages and 2 neighborhoods with a population of 400,000.

Since reform and openning-up , Tonglu is embarking on innovation, overall development , thus propelling the economy rapidly. In 1998,Tonglu became the comparatively well-off county of Jiangsu Province, then in 2004 , advancing in the top 100 county of China.

( 1 ) Industralization:
