On the evening of March 10, the signing ceremony was held between Zhejiang provincial government and the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs on jointly establishing China Marine Sci-tech Innovation and Talent-introduction Park in Beijing.

According to the agreement, both sides will play an active part in talent integration and make cooperative efforts to set up a couple of international sci-tech cooperation key labs and research & development centers, based on the development of China (Zhoushan) Marine Science City and Zhejiang Ocean University and centering around the development of marine key industries and of high-level innovative talents in marine science and technology; great support will be given to major fields in marine economic industries and the introduction of overseas talents in key industries, and a bunch of state-level demonstration bases will be established for the talent introduction in marine industries; management personnel and technicians, who are in urgent need for the development of marine science and technology, will be trained abroad in order to turn out some marine leading talents with cutting-edge expertise, cross-cultural communicative skills and outstanding innovative abilities; China (Zhejiang) International Marine Sci-tech Forum will be jointly held to discuss key projects in marine science and technology and explore effective approaches to the sustainable marine development.
