Nearly 60% of Imported Clothing in Zhejiang Province Not Up to the Standard

Recently, the Provincial Administration for Industry & Commerce had a quality check on 85 batches of imported name-brand clothing that are being sold in many shopping malls in Hangzhou, Ningbo, and Taizhou. The results showed that 37 batches complied with the standard, while 48 batches did not. The pass rate was only 43.5%.

It was revealed that most clothing that were found substandard during this check were made in the following 11 countries and regions: Italy, Morocco, South Korea, France, Turkey, Romania, Egypt, Mauritius, Vietnam, India, and Bangladesh. It involved about 30 famous international brands: HERMES, Versace, DOLCE£¦GABBANA, JUST cavalla, TRUSSARDI, HUGO BOSS, and VERSUS, etc.. The products covered jeans, woolen sweaters, T-shirts, knitting casual wear, slacks, wadded clothing, women¡¯s dresses, skirts, shirts, trousers, jackets, and suit jackets, etc..
