It was learned yesterday from the organizing committee of the 2010 China (Hangzhou) West Lake International Tea Culture Expo that the recent drop of temperature would not have negative influence on the overall yield and quality of West Lake Longjin green tea, which would be the protagonist of the Expo. On 26, March, the opening ceremony of the Tea Expo and China (Hangzhou) West Lake Longjin Tea Festival will be held in front of the China National Tea Museum.
This year, the 2010 Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal South and North Tea Festival (Hangzhou) will be a new addition to the Expo. Its key activity is ˇ°Hangzhou Tea Drinking Dayˇ±. It will be celebrated simultaneously in 33 cities along the Canal including Hangzhou and Beijing. 1000 tea drinking booths will be set up, and free tea will be offered to elementary pupils, high school students, college students, citizens, and tourists. |
