Gong Zheng, male, Han nationality, was born in March, 1960, in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. He began his professional career in August, 1982 and joined the Communist Party of China in April, 1985. He obtained his PhD in economics from Xiamen University where he did his postgraduate study on public economics in the Department of Public Economics and Finance.
He served successively as: Deputy Director of the Department of Customs Control and Cargo Inspection of General Administration of Customs of PeopleĄŻs Republic of China (GACC); Secretary of General Office of GACC (Deputy-director level); Secretary of General Office of GACC (Director Level); Deputy Director General and Member of the Board of Tianjin Customs; Deputy Director General of Preparatory Office of National Information Center of GACC; Deputy Director General of Department of Operational Standards of GACC and Deputy Director General of the Office of Leading Group for Information Technology Advancement of GACC; Director General of Department of Policy and Legal Affairs of GACC; Director General and Director of the Board of Shenzhen Customs; Vice Minister and Member of the Board of GACC and Deputy Customs Commissioner-General. Gong Zheng was appointed Vice Governor of Zhejiang Province in December, 2008. |
