The local FAOs will provide convenience and assistance for the foreign journalists during the interviews. Meanwhile, the foreign journalists may apply to the local FAOs for assistance to contact with the organizations and individuals to be interviewed.
To interview the local officials, foreign journalists shall apply to the local FAOs. To conduct news and reporting activities in places which are open to foreigners, foreign journalists do not need to file a request with the local foreign affairs department.
To conduct news and reporting activities in places which are closed to aliens or have special regulations, foreign journalists are required to submit an application to the local FAOs for an interview permit in advance, together with the interview plan. Upon approval by the local FAOs, foreign journalists shall apply to local public security organs for alien¡¯s travel permits and may go there only with permission.
To conduct news coverage and reporting activities in Tibet, foreign journalists shall file an application to the FAO of Tibet Autonomous Region for the Approval Letter on Entering Tibet, only with which foreign journalists may go there. |
